In their first year as a band, Soft Arrows have achieved the kind of enviable output that most acts don't manage in a decade. Three excellent free EPs as well as a full length debut LP on the way, SOFT ARROWS are exploring the world between lo-fi garage and lush avant-gard dreampop; a sound that manifests itself best in their taut, claustrophobic live shows.



Making more sound than any guitar/drums duo have any right to, the signature elements of their previous projects are there to be found, from Tom Denney's (ex-Lonely Ghosts) half-whispered paranoid vocals to Russell Eke's (ex-My Device) fearsome stage-presence and kamikaze performances.

For KRAMPUS Vol 3, the gruesome twosome have offered up a off-kilter dig at the classic "Blue Christmas", complete with slack-rock cool and gung-ho whammy bar abuse.

We love ROOKS. They are pretty raw, and they are out to mess you up. Something of a hardcore supergroup, they tore up the stage at last year's Krampus (Vol 2.), and twelve months later our ears are still ringing from it, so we just *had* to get them back for another faceful of blood-spitting, nipple-twisting, seriously seriously LOUD punk gnarliness.

See what we mean? They don't really hold anything back, hitting you not with razor-sharp sophistication, but with a huge great big blunt instrument instead.

It's pretty clear which does more damage...

For KRAMPUS Vol 3, the trio have offered up a long-time live favourite, charmingly entitled 'The Pope Fucks Kids' and it's, well.... loud, and fast, and shouty, and totally totally batshit.

Strap in, drink eggnog till it comes out your eyeballs, and enjoy a cynically dose of black anti-festive non-cheer from the one and only Rooks... Just maybe don't play it to your great aunt after turkey dinner...

Brighton based hip hop supercrew RUM COMMITTEE released their debut album 'BOOZE TOWN' in 2011 following an epic launch night at Concorde 2. Since then they've been a favourite in the One Inch Badge office and have made some boozy appearances supporting the likes of Das Racist, MF DOOM, Suave Debonair and the energetic Macklemore.

The hard hitting debut has set the precedent for a plethora of solo/up and coming releases, mix tapes and virals keeping the RUM COM on course to be one of the most prolific and hard working UK Crews of this generation!

Stuart Warwick has long been a One Inch Badge favourite, since way back when he used to play under the moniker Jacob's Stories. His eerie, simple, haunting music chills us to our very core in a beautiful, whispering way. Check out this choreographed for Ex-Gay, taken from his album "The Ordeal"...



Coming into his own in a live environment, we've lost track of the number of times we've stood in a hushed venue whilst a room full of people lean in, holding their breath to hear the quiet subtleties in his quavering otherworldly voice as he sings about troubling and violent subject matter like a voice in your head.

Stuart's track for KRAMPUS IS COMING Vol. 3 is a curious interpretation of the fireside favourite, "Silent Night"; a well known melody which he yet again manages to make all his own by the sheer uniqueness of his performance.

STUART WARWICK [www.stuartwarwick.com]: Heartbreakingly beautiful – the words that spring to mind when you hear Stuart Warwick sing. Having performed alongside the likes of Bat For Lashes, Beirut, and Zola Jesus, Stuart’s hauntingly simple, yet slightly off kilter take on ‘Silent Night’ is ethereal and elegant. Stuart Warwick (formally Jacob Stories) is a true Brighton hero and this marks his first physical release since 2010’s stunning album ‘The Ordeal’.

MUNICH [www.facebook.com/thisismunich]: Brighton five piece Munich have been proving their talent over the last few years by writing great anthemic pop tunes, playing such festivals as Glastonbury and support slots for Bombay Bicycle Club, Morning Parade, Mona, Graham Coxon, and Chapel Club. Their epic widescreen sound is tonally rich, passionate rabble-rousing modern indie at it’s very best.

RUM COMMITTEE [www.rumcommittee.com]: Hailing from the murky depths of Booze Town itself, Rum Com are an eight-man hip-hop army, with the refreshingly inventive beats, razor-sharp rhymes and the swagger of a herd of elephants.

SOFT ARROWS [http://softarrows.blogspot.com]: The plan was simple enough, “do a band”. Two guys go into a run down practice room and emerge months later as Soft Arrows. Plan accomplished. Taking the raw, direct energy of a garage band and the expansive, wavering melodies of shoegaze and playing in near darkness, Soft Arrows take ownership on the limitations of being a two piece band and turn them to their advantage, creating big sounds and claustrophobic vibes.

ROOKS [www.myspace.com/intherookery]: Genuine, full-throttle, out-and-out garage punk, sweating bullets and spitting blood like there’s no tomorrow. Rooks take no prisoners and don’t hold back.

JIMI SWELLS [www.soundcloud.com/nullifier]: The NULLIFIER front-man steps out in his solo guise with this finely-crafted blissed out dream pop ballad of modern whimsy and acerbically self-deprecating wit.
