Architects New Single

It's finally here. The brighton metallers new track "These Colours Dont Run" is up online with a new lyric video to go along side it.
Going back to their previous more agressive sound but still not forgetting all they've developed with the last album, this new track seems to be the best of both worlds. Check out the video below.

You can see Architects play a rare hometown show and the first date of their UK tour at Concorde 2 on Sunday the 1st of April. With support from Rolo Tomoassi and Stray From The Path.
Tickets are available here

SHEARWATER live @ The Haunt , 30th March

It’s been suggested—by fans, detractors, even by the band’s founder—that Shearwater and whatever we call underground/indie/whatever-rock in this part of the century are not an obvious fit. And that’s true. So much of what we hear these days (the lousy stuff, anyway) is willfully insular; Jonathan Meiburg’s songs, by contrast, have constantly tackled bigger questions and been propelled by massive musical ambitions.

Though it’s possibly a wild projection to claim a few years of bouncing through various band lineups, record labels and places of residence have led to a radical reboot, Shearwater are big believers in citing circumstantial evidence and letting the jury figure it out for themselves. They are having a gig at The Haunt on 30th of March as part of their European tour.

Drowned in Brighton

Drowned in sound have done a feature on the Brighton music scene and have quite nicely given us a few mentions.

Drowned in Brighton, highlights our shows at a number of venues including shows for The Wave Pictures, Sleep Party People, Bear In Heaven and Liars at The Green Door Store. Saying that...
"The Green Door Store continues packing 'em in and there is no sign of a hold up"
It goes on to praise The Haunt proclaiming it
"has now placed itself firmly at the centre of Brighton's live music cosmos"
and includes our upcoming shows with Shearwater and Sea Of Bees.

When discussing the record label's in Brighton, they highlight Fat Cat Records.
"In conjunction with buy local promoter One Inch Badge, there is the return of the Cat's live event Furballs. On 14th of April on stage at The Hope will be Odonis Odonis with their tidal waves of sound and mutant surf guitar"

2MANYDJS!

THURSDAY 3rd MAY // THURSDAY 3rd MAY

The most unique and inventive DJ experience on the planet returns!

For those of you who don't know anything about 2manydjs....Their musical history is checkered with highlights. The sons of a noted Belgian radio DJ, the pair formed a rock band named Soulwax, who released several acclaimed records and toured extensively. At this time the brothers were also concurrently DJing under the names The Flying Dewaele Brothers &2manyDJs to rapturous response both in clubs, on Belgian radio and beyond. In 2002 their massively acclaimed debut mix album 2manyDJs - As heard on Radio Soulwax Volume 2 was released on an unsuspecting world. It changed the face of dance mix compilations forever simply by splicing hundreds of rock, electro, dance, hip hop and other classics from the depths of their vaults together. It was also fun!!! And somehow they had managed to do what so many had failed to do previously - bring that fun and chaos from the club into your home.

500,000 + sales & 8 years later it remains a must have for house parties, holidays and individual experiences the world over. Their sound and style has been mimicked and imitated a million times (but never bettered) and not to mention pretty much every mix they have ever done has been bootlegged and sold at extortionate prices on by opportunists in every corners of the earth.

DESTROYER LIVE @ THE HAUNT, BRIGHTON, 12th JULY

Destroyer doesn't really need much introduction.

The Vancouver based project of singer songwriter - Daniel Bejar are the masterminds responsible for one of the best and critically acclaimed albums of 2011 - "Kaputt" and quite a few other great records that the band was releasing since 1996. Their music has often been described as a weird fetish to something that is between art and kitsch sounds of the 80's .

One inch Badge is happy to present their live show at The Haunt, 12th of July in Brighton. Tickets will be available from 9th of March from seetickets.com and we're quite sure they're gonna get sold out very quickly.

Sons of Noel and Adrian Announce Second Album "Knots"

It's finally here! The second album from Sons of Noel and Adrian will be released on May 21st, 2012. It's called Knots and will be released on CD by Broken Sound, digitally by Willkommen and on glorious gatefold vinyl by One Inch Badge. The CD is already available for pre-order.

The bands sophomore album is said to be a break away from their acoustic debut. Drawing influence from a range of genres including avant-pop, post-rock and jazz it sounds like the album is going to be a great next step for SONAA.

Also, following on from their sold out show at The Prince Albert as part of SEA MONSTERS 2 festival, SONAA will be back on the road and back in Brighton playing a headline show at The Haunt on the 7th of April.
