JASON LYTLE (GRANDADDY)

It is with great pleasure that we announce a very special show from the living legend that is GRANDADDY mainman JASON LYTLE.

What an absolute treat!!!
Jason Lytle will be performing songs off his latest album Dept. Of Disappearance, which is the anticipated follow up to his acclaimed 2009 album Yours Truly, the Commuter. Depth of disappearance plays like an emotional resonant soundtrack for  a non-existent cinematic masterpiece. On the album the sometimes reclusive, always intriguing musician has deftly infused the toil of ordinary existence with a sweeping sonic beauty.

Check out the new music video for 'Somewhere there's a Someone'...

Critical Acclaim for Dept. Of Disappearance:

''On an album of depth and scale, Lytle is aiming to move mountains. It's big. A reassuringly mournful sadcore epoc''. - BBC.co.uk
''Antique synths in varying states of dilapidation spring into life... and rarely does the comfort of sadness feel so apt''. - Mojo
''Inventively employing computer 'tweakery', Lytle concocts synthesized symphonies and celestial chorales, with emotionally charged
results''. - Uncut
''Lytle's melodic warmth provides a proctective layer against the heartbreak and horror''. - Q Magazine
''Jason Lytle climbs music's maximum heights''. - Rolling Stone Germany
''Second successful test from the former leader of Grandaddy''. - Plugged magazine France
''The album contains some tracks which are the most exciting of his career''. - Magic France

BROMHEADS

All of us here at OIB are very excited to announce that BROMHEADS will be performing at Brighton's Green Door Store this coming April 17th! The duo are building a reputation for buzzing live shows in bedsits, underground clubs and even guerrilla gigs in Libraries.

The rowdy Sheffield two-piece return with a new ablum ''Choro'' (released April 15th) and a return to the explosive, inventive 50's infused form they have become know for. With breathlessly chaotic live shows and a reputation as one of the hardest working touring acts in the UK!

Check out the Bromheads' new EP release here!

EVERYTHING EVERYTHING

One Inch Badge are proud to present an evening of surreal non - classical, avant pop for the digital age. Everything Everything will be playing at The Concord 2 on Thursday 7th February!

Imagine a band who fuse three part harmonies with scaling post-punk guitars; floor-filling bass lines with syncopated rhythms and lyrics about everything from high-school massacres to R&B lotharios musing on their lot in a post-apocalyptic wilderness...

After having caused a sensation with their debut album 'Man Alive', the band are now back with a revolutionary new single 'Cough Cough', demonstrating why they are one of the most constructive, inventive and overall exciting British bands working today.

SCROOBIUS PIP

For those who don't know him and to all those who do, we have the leading light
and unmistakeable face of the UKs spoken word scene - SCROOBIUS PIP is coming to The Haunt Brighton, on Thursday 13th December!

At Latitude 2012 Scroobius Pip headlined the spoken word tent on a Saturday night to a crowd of, to his surprise, over 4000 festival goers. All of whom stood in silence during each piece and engaged like a good drunk festival crowd should in between.

It was this overwhelming show that made Pip decide to end the year on a special spoken word tour. Having toured the globe with either DAN LE SAC for throbbing electronic accompaniment or his DISTRACTION PIECES band for powering impact for the last 5 years it became clear at Latitude that it was time to return to his routes for this one off run and present the crowd that have supported him for so long with a truly unique gig experience.

With this tour Pip is not touring a watered down version of his live shows. He is touring a completely different beast. A full and engaging 60 minute live show with the intent of taking you on a journey through more than just chin stroking nods.

This tour will coincide with the release of the “No Commercial Breaks – Special Edition”. A much demanded and finally delivered re-release of Pip’s debut record, of which he only made 1000 copies which all sold out many years a go and no sell on eBay for prices ranging from £40 - £130. This re-issue will be presented in beautiful new artwork in the form of a pop up CD case with an extra full live spoken word album recorded at the Royal Albert Hall
.
