Their sound resembling Strange Doors era Doors and Pink Floyd circa Atom Heart, RESTLESSLIST began life as a simple bedroom jam project, only forming a fully fledged band (or should that be SUPERGROUP?) to enable them to play an unintentionally booked gig. And are we glad they did.

Having snowballed into something much bigger than their humble origins, Brighton's surf-prog instruminstrels are now about to go cataclysmic. Hauled up through 2011 preparing what we can fairly say is the most ambitious sound to come out of Brighton..... ever!

MUNICH have been described by XFM as exactly what British music needs, Music Week marked their arrival in 2011 as bold and anthemic and The Great Escape hold them as exciting and poignant. However you want to say it, you know you’re not going to want to miss this, and we’re super excited to be having Munich as one of our headliners on Sea Monsters 2.

Hard working and aiming for the top with their unique widescreen epic indie pop. The band are releasing a series of new tracks in anticipation of their headline show on Friday 27th Jan. One of which can be heard here on their bandcamp.

Brighton bands don't come much more historic than I'M BEING GOOD! Starting life as bedroom warrior Andrew Clare's early 90s guitar-dirge-on-tape steed, IBG swiftly clocked up five LPs of beautiful, ugly, detuned, spitting and spluttering rock.

2011 saw the release of their latest full length, the awesome, sprawling "Mountain Language", out now on Gringo Records, and it's a hefty chunk of everything we love about IBG; discord, drums, screams; the whole dirty business.

FEAR OF MEN

With a rise to public attention fast enough to enduce a hum-dinger of a nosebleed, FEAR OF MEN seemed to come out of nowhere. We are proud to be able to saythat we gave them their first ever live show (in support of the awesome FORMER GHOSTS, at the then-newly-opened Green Door Store) as we fell in love with their reverb-drenched ghostly fuzz-pop from the moment it first landed in our inbox.

Their melancholic, 90's tinged DIY sound is like an amplified whisper; and in the last twelve months has garnered a spectacular and justly deserved amount of attention from crowds and journalists alike, making them one of Brighton's hottest properties for the year ahead, and a clear choice to headline the second night of our six day festival.

SONS OF NOEL & ADRIAN

One of the true success stories of the Brighton avant-folk scene, SONS OF NOEL & ADRIAN have long been a large chunk of the healthy musical output of this fine city of ours, and an important part of the early days of OIB Records too, as we were extremely proud to release the limited 7-inch “Rivers EP” (now sold out).

Their dark, haunting, deceptively simple songs combine gang vocals, semi-orchestral arrangements, and stark imagery to create a collective live experience that is louder and more visceral than any acoustic act have any right to be.

Fresh off touring with Mumford & Sons, we know you’ll be blown away by the bands new material from their sophomore LP “Knots” making them a natural choice to headline the very first night of our six day festival.
